Who We Are

TransPosition Vocal Ensemble is New Hampshire's chorus for Transgender singers and Allies, where no one needs to fit the standardized voice parts of a traditional choir.

The group name is a musical pun: in music, the term "transposition" refers to changing the key of a song to better fit a new and different voice.

Our aim is twofold:

1. to be a place where ALL voices are welcome and it's safe to explore what your voice can do. (Lots of Transfolk stop singing because they feel like their voice doesn't fit who they are. But why put limits on the music that's inside of you?)

And

2. to help make New Hampshire's Trans* community more visible in a positive way! (Because, dammit, we're about more than just bathrooms!)
